Going for gold
VELVA — Teams from Garrison and Max-South Prairie competed at the Star City Golf Course here on Aug. 23.
Tee time for three
Garrison’s girls golf has been underway for a few weeks now with the team having competed in five meets to this point, the season opener on August 5 in Velva, and then a two day meet in Medora August 8-9, a meet in Rugby August 10, an event in Underwood August 16, and a meet in Rolla on August 22.
Practice makes perfect
“Practice makes perfect,” an adage as old as time and one that we’ve all heard thousands of times in our lives, rings as true as ever for a football team looking to repeat a playoff berth like this season’s Aggies are attempting.
Titans take it to the limit
After spending all summer working at daily practices or occasionally playing as many as six games a week, the Garrison Titans’ hard work paid off.
Titans statebound
Following their dominant performance throughout the course of this year, a season in which they lost only one counter game, Garrison's Legion baseball team were able to add yet another accolade to this season’s trophy cabinet as they took home first place in their District Tournament on July 21.
Fighting like a Titan
This past week, the Garrison Babe Ruth Titans traveled to Belfield to compete in their district tournament.
Going the distance
Following their fantastic regular season where the Titans were able to amass a 5-1 record in counter games, they rolled into the sectional tournament in Belfield with the number one seed in the bracket.
Titans get hot
Garrison’s Babe Ruth level Titans played two sets of double headers this past week against the teams from Glen Ullin/Hebron and Washburn.
Teeing off
For the last four Tuesdays, Garrison’s golf course has played host to Tom Fitzgerald’s Annual Youth Golf Camp.
Titans stay on track
Last Thursday, the Titans traveled all the way down to Hettinger for a two game series.
