To annex or not to annex
Boards hear Lewis & Clark, Max School testimony

One hurdle has been cleared for patrons and landowners who want their property annexed to the Max School District from part of the Lewis & Clark North Shore School District.
But for them and those who think the territory should remain part of the Lewis & Clark District, they know the next hurdle is the one that counts. And neither side will know the final verdict until quite possibly sometime in April when the matter comes before the State Board of Public School Education in Bismarck.
More than 60 patrons, landowners and school officials filled a room at the Ward County Courthouse in Minot Monday. They testified before the Ward and McLean County Reorganization boards. McLean committee members included Marshall Maxwell and Richard Britton, both of Turtle Lake, and Dave Reinarts, Garrison. Ward County members were Ernest Medalen and Nancy Lockrem, both of Minot, and Nancy Neshem, Berthold.
