Take a book, leave a book

The Sakakawea Area Council for the Arts, in conjunction with the Garrison Public Library, has found a way to encourage reading in community members, young and old.
You may have noticed a colorful little box next to Garrison State Bank & Trust. This is what is called a Little Free Library and it was placed there by the SACA Literature Committee for the community to use.
Members Janelle Michels and Amanda Forsberg explain that the Little Free Library is a free library system built purely on the honor system, meaning you take a book and you leave a book.
"We are hoping people will take a book they like and leave a book in its place, or bring back the book they took when they are done," Michels said.
The books inside now were donated by the Garrison Library. The goal is to add more children’s books and place book marks inside with information on how the Little Free Library works.
