Superintendent gets strong marks

The Garrison school superintendent received high marks on his report card recently.
Board members conducted an evaluation of the superintendent, Steve Brannan, at a special meeting Monday evening. The December evaluation allows the board to bring up concerns or comment and then in March the evaluation is reviewed.
The superintendent is rated as satisfactory or unsatisfactory, a system set by the state School Board Association.
The superintendent received a satisfactory rating in all areas including relationship with the board, community, students and parents, recruitment/retention of staff, supervision of licensed and non-licensed staff, identification and implementation of board policy, financial management, leadership and records management.
