BISMARCK — A House bill which would have led smaller school districts to share superintendents received a unanimous do not pass – at 0-90 – by the North Dakota House of Representatives last Friday.
House Bill 1251, which had the potential to cause school districts with less than 475 students to share superintendents with similar-sized schools, received a do not pass recommendation by a 10-4 vote by the House Education Committee on Feb. 7.
Voting against the do not pass in the Education Committee were Vice Chairman Rep. Cynthia Schreiber-Beck, R-Wahpeton, Rep. Jim Jonas, R-West Fargo, Rep. Andrew Marschall, R-West Fargo and Rep. Eric James Murphy, R-Grand Forks.
