Soon, it will be adiós a Garrison
GARRISON — Seated at the table in her host family’s kitchen, Candela Garcia Pedrejon looked back at when she arrived in Garrison, a small town in a foreign country, far from home.
Garcia, who attended Garrison High School as a junior, wanted to follow in the footsteps of her father and brother who both took advantage of foreign exchange student programs.
“Hearing stories of what they did in America, I always wanted to do it, too,” she said.
