Sales, Use Tax vote Tuesday

Residents in the City of Garrison are asked to head to the polls Tuesday. They will vote on whether to continue the city’s 1 percent city Sales and Use Tax.
The 1 percent city Sales and Use Tax expires Dec. 31. Voters in Garrison must decide whether to continue the Sales and Use Tax or allow it to expire.
The revenue generated is divided equally between community development and economic development projects.
Community development projects include city infrastructure projects, including streets, the water and sewer systems, public safety and park system improvements.
