Rural water: Pay or go thirsty
Pay up or go without.
That’s what the Garrison Rural Water District is considering when it comes to patrons who aren’t paying their water bills, it was decided at a meeting July 23.
Currently there are about 25 rural water customers who are behind 60 days or more on their water bills. The policies allow the board to shut off water to residents who are past due 90 days. Developers who have sold lots to people who are not paying their water bills will also receive a letter letting them know of the past due bills.
