Playwrights run in the family
Many years in the making, Garrison High School graduate and Tru Community employee, Allyson Youngs stepped up to the plate for her swing at rewriting Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” play for this year’s Garrison Dickens’ Village Festival.
“This is year 16 (that she’s been a part of the Dickens’ Festival and play),” Youngs said. “I’ve been in the play since kindergarten, with the exception of 2020 due to Covid, and 2021 when I was in college.”
That makes for many years of experience under her 22-year-old belt.
