Murder suspect is arrested in Garrison

A suspect wanted for the murder of his live-in girlfriend in South Sioux City, Neb., was arrested by McLean County authorities in Garrison Monday.
John P. Baker, 53, was arrested without incident at a home on North Fifth Street in Garrison.
Don Charging, McLean County Sheriff, said Baker allegedly was given a ride by a friend to Garrison.
Baker is being held in isolation in the McLean County Law Enforcement Center in Washburn. He is awaiting extradition.
Charging said that Baker has been uncooperative and asking for an attorney. No other charges were filed in the incident.
