Go all out

FFA banquet features former NFL player

This year’s FFA motto couldn’t have been more fitting for Tuesday night’s guest speaker at the Garrison FFA Chapter’s 62nd Annual Parent-Member Banquet. NFL legend Phil Hansen was in the house.

This year’s FFA motto: "Go all out. Go all out as you live your lives. Motivate yourselves and put everything you have into everything you do. Be determined. Know no bounds. Take action."

The former NDSU gridiron standout is a member of the NFL Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame, being inducted in 2011. The defensive end is known for leaving it all on the field, one who gave 110 percent. He went all out.

Hansen played in the NFL for 11 years, all with the Bills. He took attendees down memory lane, sharing a number of stories from his NFL career – a career that included being named to the NFL’s 1991 all rookie team. He played on three Super Bowl teams and set many records during his time with the Bills.

Hansen credits his parents for instilling in him a good work ethic. "It paid dividends down the road," he said.
