Garrison celebrates Christmas

Editor’s note: The following is by 2005 Garrison High graduate Kristin Proell. Proell is majoring in Public Relations and Advertising at NDSU. She said she is also planning on adding another major of management communication. She lives in Fargo and along with attending classes, Proell has two part-time jobs and remains active in the Army National Guard. She is an Iraq War veteran.
The following is an assignment Proell wrote for her Media Writing class COMM 200.
“We had to write a feature story and the first thing that popped into my head when my instructor was giving the assignment was the Dickens Festival,” she said.
Following is her essay.
During the three weekends following Thanksgiving, Garrison celebrates Christmas in full force. The Dickens Festival is a Christmas tradition. The people of Garrison spread the spirit of Christmas to all the visitors who attend the Dickens Festival.
