Warriors stop Coyotes

The Sheridan County Coyotes season came to end the first game of the Region 5 tournament in Mandan Monday night. The Standing Rock Warriors defeated the Coyotes 68-50. The Coyotes ran into a hot Warriors team that shot extremely well the first quarter and took a 24-5 first-quarter lead. The Coyotes had trouble with the Warriors’ press and turned the ball over numerous times, plus their shots were not going in. The Coyotes’ first score came at the two-minute mark when Karissa Erdmann put down a three-pointer. The second and third quarter, the Coyotes played almost even with the Warriors as the Warriors were playing a lot of the reserves.
