Wanted: heads, hides and horns
BY GABLE RHOADS
Deer hunters take notice! There are two collection bins set up on Highway 200 near Bentz’ Supply Store in McClusky.
The bin to the west is for deer hides and antlers. According to Attorney Walter Lipp, a fur and antler dealer buys the hides and horns from sites which are set up in several locations across the state.
All proceeds from the sale of the horns and hides go to the "Dollars for Scholars" program. According to their website, "Dollars for Scholars" is a nationwide organization of volunteer-driven chapters that provide scholarships in their communities."
The scholarship money raised locally is distributed to students in McClusky and Goodrich.
