Peltier scores 1600th point earns Region 5 Senior Athlete

The Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky Trojans placed third in the Region 5 Boys Tournament.
The Trojans were defeated by the Garrison Troopers, 56-46, in the semi-final game putting them into the third place game where the Trojans defeated the Flasher Bulldogs 69-63
Adam Peltier was chosen as the 2013 Region 5 Senior Athlete of the Year. Adam also scored his 1600th point in the third place game.
Adam Peltier and Kevin Klemisch were named to the 2013 All Region 5 team. Other members of the team are Mykle Rud-Garrison; Dustin Iverson- Grant County; Taylor Krenz-Flasher; Justin Black Cloud-Solen; Jalen Lawrence-Standing Rock; Walter Bearstail and Donovan Lambert-Bismarck Shiloh Christian.
Flasher Coach Brian Nieuwsma was chosen Region 5 2013 Coach of the Year.
Adam Peltier was the scoring leader with 19 points for the Trojans in the semi-final game against the Garrison Troopers. Marcus Tomlinson added 11.
The Troopers put three players in double figures. Luke Gehring led the Troopers with 21; Levi Hummel added 12; and Mykle Rud scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
The first quarter was a seesaw battle as Adam Peltier and Mykle Rud matched triples to tie the at five just two minutes into the game.
