Trojans sweep Wildcats

A three-zero win against the Center/Stanton Wildcats Tuesday night raised the Trojans regular season record to six wins and two losses.
The Trojans are on the bus to New Salem Oct.1. Oct 3 is a home match with Harvey/Wells County; Oct 8 is a home match with Garrison. Oct. 5, the varsity squad has a tournament at Washburn.
Tasha Williams put down 9 kills, Mariah Portra and Mariah Sellon had 11 assists and Ken-nedy Fricke 16 digs in the win.
Siam Simpfenderfer led the Wildcats with 6 kills; Tristen Henke had 16 digs.
The Trojans jumped to a 9-1 lead to start to first set. Tatum Fylling had a block and a kill and Haley Zinke had a kill in that stretch.
The Trojans took an 18-6 lead after an ace from Madison Kurle and a kill from Katelynn Presser.
The Trojans were up 21-11 when they gave up numerous points on long kills, shot or net violations.
Aces from Wildcats’ Siam Simp-fenderfer and Katie Windhorst, along with kills from Madeline Henke and Tristen Henke, cut the Trojans’ lead to 24-21.
A long kill shot from the Wildcats ended the set in the Trojans’ favor 25-21.
