Hazelton/Moffit/Braddock Ti-gers were in town for a girls and boys double-header Jan. 12. The boys defeated the Tigers 65-42 but the girls came up on the short end of the score, 46-42.

Grant Singer led the Trojans in scoring with 28 points, followed by Shane Nelson and Tucker Fylling with 11 each.
Dylan Jangula led the Tiger with 13 points.
The Trojans took a 7-1 lead on a couple of buckets from Fylling and a triple from Nelson.
The Trojans’ defense kept the Tigers in single digits for the first quarter, allowing just eight points for the Tigers. The Trojans finished the quarter with a 7-0 run to go up 20-8.
The Trojans picked up a lot of fouls during the first quarter and put the Tigers in the bonus early the second quarter. Jangula put down a pair of free throws at the 7:19 mark to make the score 20-10 Trojans.
The Trojans then outscored the Tigers, 12-1, to go up 32-11 at the 4:23 mark after a Nelson trey.
Nathan Weiser scored the first field goal for the Tigers in the second quarter at the 3:07 mark.
The Trojans put the Tigers at the free-throw line four times for the double bonus late in the second quarter but the Tigers only made four of the eight tries.
A triple from Adam Peltier and a deuce from Singer put the Trojans up, 39-19, with six seconds left in the half.
Travis Baumiller tossed in a three-pointer from a few steps behind the half-court line as the buzzer sound to make the half-time score, 39-22.
The Tigers cut into the Trojans’ lead in the third quarter as the Trojans did not handle the Tigers’ press very well right a way and gave put-back-to-back buckets to Jangula.
The Tigers took advantage of a couple more Trojan turnovers and cut the Trojans’ lead to 48-35 by the end of the third quarter.
A couple of quick buckets by Singer and Fylling put the Trojans up 52-35 at the 7:36 mark of the fourth quarter.
The Tigers then scored five unanswered points to cut the Trojans’ lead to 52-40 at the 5:40 mark.
From there, the Trojans outscored the Tigers, 13-2, in the last four minutes of the game for the 63-42 win.
