Trojans split with Miners

The Wilton/Wing Miners were in town for a District 10 double header Tuesday night.
The girls game saw the Miners slip past the Trojans 33-22. The win raises the Miners’ district record to 4-2 and overall record to 12-7.
The Trojans slip to 1-5 in district play and 7-10 overall. The Trojans will play the Miners again this week in their first game of the District 10 tournament in Underwood Feb. 8.
First quarter action did not see a lot of scoring as the Miners led at the end of one 5-4. There were a lot of missed shots and good defense on both sides.
Morgan Reiser drained a triple, just seconds into the second quarter, to put the Trojans in front 7-5
