Trojans split wins in games against Cardinals

The Turtle Lake-Mercer- McClusky Pewee boys basketball team lost one; won one, in a home game played in McClusky.
The first game saw the younger boys outsized and out-shot. The Washburn Cardinals jumped to an early lead, keeping the Trojans from scoring the first half of the game. The halftime buzzer showed the score as 0-7 in favor of the Cardinals.
The Trojans scored two points to the Cards five in the third quarter. The Trojans picked up their shooting in the last quarter, scoring right more points. The game ended 10-23, Cardinals.
Julius Anderson led the Trojans team in points, scoring eight of the ten points. Gryphon Mulkey helped the team with another two points.
In the second game, the two teams of older boys came out slugging.
