The Turtle Lake-Mercer-Mc-Clusky Trojans took second place at the District 10 Tournament in Washburn this past weekend. The Washburn Cardinals defeated the Trojans 60-48 in the championship game.
The Trojans will play the third place team from District 9 in the Region 5 quarter-final game Feb. 21 at the Bismarck Civic Center. The game will be the third game of the day. Their opponent has yet to be determined.
Quarter-final action in Dis-trict 10 tournament saw Washburn and Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky with byes. Garrison defeated Max 69-55 and Underwood defeated Wilton/Wing 67-63.
Semi-final action resulted in Washburn defeating Garrison 72-46 and TL-M-M defeating Underwood, 71-47.
Region qualifier games: Underwood defeated Max, 64-56, and Wilton/Wing defeated Garrison, 74-68.
Shane Nelson and Tucker Fylling were named to the 2011 District 10 All Tournament Team. Other team members are Ryan Kerzman, Evan Eberle, and Brett Schreiner Washburn; Matt Jacobson and Cory Keating from Wilton/Wing; Matt Landenberger and Carlos Hernandez from Underwood; and Ian McDonald from Garrison.
Nelson, Fylling and Adam Peltier were named to the 2011 All District 10 Team. Other team members include Jeff Rasmussen, Brett Schreiner and Evan Eberle from Washburn; Ian McDonald and Kyle Schuler from Garrison; Matt Landenberger from Underwood; Levi Tomlinson from Max; Cory Keating and Dillon Loper from Wilton/Wing.
