Trojans roll with ‘punches’ off , on court

The Trojans are doing a little maneuvering of players and positions for the next week as they deal with the temporary loss of some McClusky players due to McClusky School’s
two-week shutdown of on-site learning and high school athletics because of COVID-19. “This next week is going to be tough,” commented TLMM Head Coach Amy Rime.
“We’re doing some major readjusting.” The Trojans lost a pair of hard-fought battles on the volleyball court this week, falling to both Garrison and Nedrose by the score of 3-0.
The home-standing Trojans battled through all three sets of Tuesday’s match with Nedrose, forcing the second set to go into extra volleys before losing that set 26-24. Madison Boehm paced Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky in getting the offense going, as well as the defense, counting 21 assists and 22 digs. Kaleigh Naser led the Trojans in service aces with three and counted 18 digs, while Amy Klain and Kadence Reiser were good for seven and six kills each in the match. Thursday’s match at Garrison saw the Troopers dominate
the first two sets, giving up just 14 points to the Trojans in the second set, before TLMM rallied in game three.
