Trojans over Troopers in nail-biter times two

For the fans that attended the district doubleheader game against the Garrison Troopers, they got their money’s worth as both games went down to the wire with the Trojans
winning both game. The girls by three, 37-34, and the boys by two, 49-47. The next three games for the Trojans are district doubleheader games: Jan. 21 at home with Underwood, Jan. 23 at Washburn, and Jan. 28 at Center/Stanton.
Sophie Sparrow was the game’s leading scorer with 16 points, which included two free throws with 8.5 seconds left to put the Trojans up 37-34. Karli Klein and Kaitlyn Klein each scored 11 points for the Troopers. The Troopers got off to a quick start and led 9-4 until Ashley Bergquist put down a mid-range jumper, just before the buzzer, to close the gap to
9-6.
