Trojans in semi-finals

The Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky Trojans advanced to the semi-final round of the region 5 tournament as they defeated the Flasher Bulldogs 54-48 Monday afternoon.
The Bulldogs got off to a fast start jumping to a 7-0 lead before Tanner Freeman got the Trojans on the scoreboard with a base line jumper at the 4:33 mark but the more aggressive Bulldogs finished the quarter with an 8-2 run with triples from Connor Marion and Brett Gabrielson. Marion also had a double as the Bulldogs led after one 17-6.
The Trojans’ poor shooting continued into the second quarter and the Bulldogs took advantage as they got triples from Marion and Gabrielson to start the quarter and take a 23-6 lead at the 6:01 mark.
At the 3:15 mark Blake Anderson started the Trojans come back as he got a triple out of the right corner and at the 1:24 mark and Trapper Jacobs scored a triple from the right wing to cut the Bulldogs lead to 25-12.
