Trojans eliminated

The Trojans’ 2019-20 season ended Monday night as the Wilton/Wing Miners defeated the Trojans, 58-50, in a region play-in game. The other region play-in game had Underwood
defeating Max, 59-40, and the championship went to Washburn as they defeated Garrison, 55-40. On the awards end, Matthew Wahl, a 6’4” sophomore center for the Trojans was
chosen for the All District team as was 6’ junior forward AJ Ketterling. Wahl was also placed on the District 10 All- Tournament team. The Trojans’ Head Coach Joi Anderson was selected as the District Coach of the Year. The Trojans’ first round game had them against the Wildcats from Center/Stanton. Wahl was the leading scorer for the Trojans with 13
points and Coltyn O’Shea was in double figures with 12. Ben Thompson paced the Wildcats with 14.
The Trojans jumped to a quick 5-0 lead with a bucket from Julius Anderson and a triple from O’Shea but the Wildcat scored the next seven points to take a 7-5 midway
through the quarter but a deuce from O’Shea at the 3:00 mark tied the game at seven. Triples from Devin Schadegg and Ketterling the last 1:46 of the quarter put the Trojans
up, 15-12, at the first stop.
