Trojans blank Holsteins, fall to Miners

Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky took a split on the volleyball court this past week, topping New Salem-Almont 3-0 Saturday night in New Salem before falling in their
final home game as Trojans Monday night. The visiting Wilton-Wing Miners were too strong from start to finish for the Trojans, who, according to assistant coaches Shelby
Faul and Kaley Sease (Head Coach Amy Rime is on maternity leave), played a different game against Wilton than they did against Center. The Miners took that battle by the
score of 3-0, taking the last set by the score of 25-12. “I just don’t think we played to our full potential tonight,” said Sease, regarding Monday’s loss to Wilton-Wing. “Saturday against New Salem, our girls were amazing. They were totally different. “We had one of our girls score against three blockers in Center,” added Faul. That girl was Kadence Reiser,
who had six kills against the Holsteins and five against the Miners. Against Wilton-Wing Monday night, it was Kassidy Reiser who earned kudos from the coaches, tallying three
kills and three digs. “She was our star tonight,” said Sease.
