Trojans advance to Region 5 semi-finals

The Turtle Lake-Mercer Mc-Clusky Trojans advance to the Region 5 semi-final game by defeating the Standing Rock Warriors 62-43. The Trojans will play Bismarck Shiloh Christian. Shiloh Christian defeated Under-wood 59-46.
In the afternoon quarter final games Grant County beat Max 78-40 and New Salem/Almont beat Washburn 54-44.
Grant County will play New Salem/Almont in the first semi-final game. The games are being played at Mandan High School on Mar. 5, 6 and 8.
Jacy Hausauer was top scorer with 18 points, Haley Zinke poured in 16 and Taylor Fylling 12.
Fylling grabbed 10 rebounds for the double-double, Chloe Bayless also grabbed 10 rebounds; Hausauer had 8.
Jamie Archambault was the scoring and rebounding leader for the Warriors with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Hausauer got the Trojans on the score board first with a break away lay in just seconds in to the game. A deuce from Bayless and a base line drive from Zinke put the Trojans in front 6-2.
Five unanswered points from Archambault put the Warriors in the lead 7-6.
