Trojans 4th in District 10 Rust Senior Athlete

The Turtle Lake-Mercer Mc-CLusky Trojans volleyball team placed 4th at the 2012 District 10 tournament.
The Trojans lost to the Wilton/Wing Miners 3 games to 2 in semi final action putting the Trojans in the region qualifying game where they defeated the Center/Stanton Wildcats 3 games to 1 and take fourth place.
District tournament action in the opening round Washburn defeated Center/Stanton 3-1 and Wilton/Wing defeated Garrison/Max 3-0. Number one Underwood received a bye as did number two TLMM.
Semi final action saw Wash-burn defeat Underwood 3-2 and Wilton/Wing defeated TLMM 3-2.
Wilton/Wing defeated Wash-burn for the Championship 3-2.
Underwood defeated Garrison/Max in the other region qualifying game 3-1 and take third place.
Sabrina Rust received the 2012 District 10 Senior Athlete award. Rust had 66 assists, 47 digs and 10 aces in the District tournament.
Sabrina Rust, Chloe Bayless and Sabrina Laframboise were selected for the 2012 All District 10 Team. Other members are Abby Landenberger, Samantha Cottingham and Kenzie Bertsch from Underwood; Heidi Clausen and Zadie Johnson, Wilton/Wing; Kennedy Retterath and Mariah Bertolotto, Washburn; Suzy Scheresky, Garrison/Max and Irina Shishova, Center/Stanton.
