TLM-M Trojans outlast Washburn Cardinals

The Trojans picked up their first region win of the season in a 3-1 win over the Cardinals from Washburn Tuesday night but their winning streak stopped at one by the loss to New Salem/Almont Holsteins 3-0 Thursday night on the Holsteins home court.
With the win over the Cardinals, the Trojans got out of the Region 5 cellar with a record of 1-5. The Holsteins evened their region record at 3-3.
Center/Stanton and Flasher are at the top of the region with 6-0 records.
Washburn and Wilton/Wing are at the bottom of the region with 0-5 record, Standing Rock is also winless at 0-4.
The Trojans host Center/Stanton Oct. 2. The next home match is also the last home match of the season with Bismarck Shiloh Christian Oct. 24.
The girls travel to Carrington Oct. 7 for a tournament. Oct. 12 the team is on the bus to Standing Rock.
Against the Cardinals, Brooke Goven was kills leader with eight; Kaley Sease added seven.
