Swimming Pool 2021 opening at risk
By ALLAN TINKER
Sharing a common quest with other pools at this time of the year, brought the Park Board to a long discussion on March 16 on plans for the summer. A major concern is the money needed to keep the swimming pool open. Not a simple thing for those who swim in a lake with no hesitation, but much work to be done to plan for a public pool. Costs of chemicals was budgeted to be $14,000 dollars; other supplies at $3,500, salaries for 2021 at $19,000; water costs at $5,000, propane at $3,000 and repairs needed at $15,000. Other smaller needs were also budgeted.
