Junior High Boys win Max Tournament

Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky junior high boys basketball team played in the tournament held in Max March 9 and 10 with teams from District 10, along with White Shield and Burke County.
The Trojans opened the tournament versus the White Shield Warriors on Friday in the first game of the day.
The offense started slow in the first quarter with only seven points scored while White Shield had eight.
In the second quarter, the boys woke up, led by Matthew Wahl with eight and a host of other players contributing on defense. They shut out White Shield in the second to go into halftime with a 23-8 lead.
