Girls’ relays qualify
Muffed handoff, shmuffed handoff.
It didn’t take long for a miscue in the exchange lane that cost the Cougar 800-meter relay runners a place in the relay to put that mishap behind them, as a few minutes later those same team members combined forces to qualify for state in the 400-meter relay, virtually erasing the memory of any earlier miscues.
And, besides that, they qualified with their 800-meter relay Monday afternoon at Velva, so there’s that, too.
Lexie Jacobson, Kaleigh Naser, Mackenzie Snyder and Taysha Snyder make up the members of both relays, who will be competing at the Bismarck Bowl on May 26 and 27.
