Girls slip to 8-5

The Trojans girls team slip-ped to eight wins and five losses the past week. The girls beat Sawyer 61-36 but lost to Surrey 55-54 and Towner/Granville/Up-ham, 51-37.
The girls will play Wilton/Wing on the home court Jan. 31; then they are on the bus to Center/Stanton on Feb. 4 and the Parshall Braves will be here for a contest Feb. 7.
Trojans 54-Mustangs 55
Haley Zinke was the leading point-getter for the Trojans with 16 points; Jacy Hausauer was also in double figures with 13.
Kayle Schiele led the Mus-tangs with 18 points.
The Trojans led after the first three quarters but ran into a scoring slump the fourth quarter.
The Mustangs managed to keep within striking distance and made a run in the fourth quarter out scoring the Trojans 22-7.
A last second foul on the Trojans sent the Mustangs to the free throw line with a fraction of a second left trailing 54-53. The Mustangs made good on two tosses to take a 55-54 lead.

Trojans 61-Flashes 36
Jacy Hausauer scored 18 points and Chloe Bayless added 14 as the Trojans picked up their eighth win of the season as they defeated the Sawyer Flashes 61-36.
Mara Roteliuk was the Flashes leading scorer with 15 points.
Chloe Bayless got the Trojans on the score board first with a short jumper but a bucket from Paige Brabandt and a triple from Mara Roteliuk put the Flashes in front 5-2 at the 6:37 mark.
