Eagles trip Trojans

The New Town Eagles outscored the Trojans 12-6 in overtime last Tuesday night on the Trojans’ home court.
Trapper Jacobs was the game’s high scorer with 31 points. Jordan LeBold led the Eagles with 21 points with 10 coming in the overtime.
The Trojans finish their regular season this week with a game at Standing Rock on Feb. 15 and a home game with Kidder County on Feb.16.
District 10 tournament begins Feb. 22 in Washburn.
First quarter action against the Eagles saw the Eagles with a 6-0 run and an 8-0 run. The Trojans made a 9-0 run in between. The Eagles led, 17-13, at the end of one.
Second quarter action saw the Trojans cut the Eagles’ lead to 22-19 after a lay-up from Matthew Wahl. But, the last minute of the quarter, the Eagles scored six unanswered points to lead 28-19 at the break.
