Comets win battle of Central McLean teams

Intensity was met with intensity ball-for-ball Thursday night, as the visiting Underwood Comets outlasted the Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky Trojans for a 3-1 win on the volleyball court. The two teams are both cogs in the Central McLean co-op for all of the other high school sports, each fielding their final home-school volleyball team before joining as Cougars next fall. “We didn’t know exactly what to expect from Underwood, but by the teams they’ve played, we figured we were going to be pretty evenly matched. I think both sides played a great game,” said TLMM Head Coach Amy Rime.
