Boys split

The boys picked up a 59-50 win at Velva Friday night but lost to the Tower/Granville/Upham Titan Saturday 62-55.
Up next for the Trojans is a district game at Wilton/Wing Jan. 29. Feb.1 is a make-up game with Mandaree, Feb. 2 is a home game with Underwood and Feb. 5 is a home game with New Town.
At Velva Friday night, Trapper Jacobs paced the Trojans with 32 points followed by AJ Ketterling with 12 points. Hayden Lee led the Aggies with 19 points.
The Trojans had trouble finding the bucket the first quarter as they dug themselves a hole getting down 7-0 before AJ Ketterling drove the lane for two at the 4:23 mark.
The Aggies led at the end of one 13-5.
The Trojans started heating up the second quarter with Jacobs scoring two triples and two doubles the last 5:30 to close the gap to 23-21 at the half time break.
