Both Pee Wee teams lose games
The Turtle Lake-Mercer Mc-Clusky 5th and 6th grades Boys Pee Wee hosted games against Washburn on Tuesday afternoon, April 22, at the McClusky High School gym.
In the 5th grade game, Turtle Lake-Mercer McClusky came close to winning with a tie of 19 in the fourth quarter. But, Washburn won this game with a score of 19-21 in overtime. Quarter stops were 4-4, 6-10, 17-9, 19-19 and 19-21.
Leading scorers were AJ Ket-terling with 8 points; followed by Jalen Granlie 5, Gunner Jacob 3, Coltyn O’Shea 2, and Ethan Hollenbeck 1. For Washburn, Garrett Pfleiger scored 8 points, Devin Sailer and Hunter Klintworth 4 each, Caden Germundson and Preston Beckman 2 each, and Braydon Kraft 1 point.
In the 6th grade game, Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky was de-feated by Washburn with a score of 9-26. Quarter stops were 2-5, 3-12, 8-22, and 9-26.
Leading scorers were Bryton Werth with 9 points; followed by Ethan Hollenbeck, Joey Fer-guson and Jon Strobel 1 point each.
