Eleven unlucky number for Cougar girls
The number 11 was not kind to the Central McLean Cougars in their first week on the softball field, as the Cougars started off their season at 0-3, 11 points being scored by their opponents in all three games.
Eichhorst, Sellon pace Cougars at indoor
Central McLean freshman Emily Eichhorst proved she is going to be a force to be reckoned with this year on the track, as she placed second in the 800-meter run at this past Friday’s Central North Dakota Conference indoor track meet at the Minot State University Dome.
Region 5 wrap up
The Trojans were bounced from the 2014 Region 5 tournament by the Bismarck Shiloh Christian Skyhawks, 66-36, in the tournaments’ opening game.
Region 5 tourney continues without Trojans
The Turtle Lake-Mercer Mc-Clusky Trojans were defeated by the Bismarck Shiloh Christian Skyhawks, 66-36, in the first quarter final game of the Region 5 tournament held at Mandan High School Monday afternoon.
Trojans move to Region 5 Tourney
The Trojans girls team defeated Washburn 39-33 in a region qualifying game Mon-day night. The Trojans will face Bismarck Shiloh Christian in the 3 o’clock game Monday March 10 at Mandan High School.
Trojans stomp Raiders, mauled by Lions and Coyotes
The girls wrapped up their regular season with a 61-10 win over the Drake/Anamoose Raiders Friday night. But, earlier in the week, they were beaten by the Coyotes from Grant County 54-37 and by the number one state-ranked undefeated, defending state champion Bishop Ryan Lions: 85-24. The Lions are on a 47-game winning streak.
Trojans done
For the first time in over a decade, the Trojans will not advance to the Region V tournament as the Trojans boys basketball season came to a screeching halt Saturday night when they were defeated by the Center/Stanton Wildcats 53-46 in a region qualifying game.
Trojans take two from Comets
The Trojans took from the Underwood Comets on the Trojans’ home court Tuesday night.
Trojans over Wildcats
The Trojans were in Center Monday and Tuesday for district games. Monday night the boys defeated the Wildcats 64-56 and on Tuesday the girls defeated the Wildcats 65-44.
Sports Co-op meeting held
The sports co-op meeting was held after the TLMM and Un-derwood game Tuesday January 21st at Turtle Lake-Mercer High School. Member schools present were Underwood, McClusky and Turtle-Mercer.
