Two-milers take first at regional; on to state
Four more Cougars will be making their way to this year’s State Track Meet this Friday and Saturday, as members of the girls 3200 meter relay team nabbed first place Friday afternoon at the South Central Region Meet in their two-mile event to clinch a berth at the state meet this Friday and Saturday at the Bismarck Community Bowl.
Dammen qualifies in discus
Home-field advantage doesn’t usually come into play at track meets, but Central McLean’s Mariah Sellon used her home field to give notice to her opponents that she’s in the hunt for a state title in the long jump, as she cleared the qualifying distance by more than a foot, leaping 17-6 to win the event at the Central McLean Invitational last Thurday.
CM’s Sellon qualifies in high jump
Central McLean’s Mariah Sellon became the first state qualifier for the girls team this season, qualifying in the high jump at the Southern McLean Invitational in Washburn on Friday.

Jacobs all region
The six-foot two-inch junior forward for the Turtle Lake-Mercer McClusky Trojans, Hunter Jacobs, was named to the 2015 All Region 5 Team Thursday night at the Bismarck Event Center.
Trojans eliminated
The Trojans season came to an end Monday night as they were defeated by the Flasher Bulldogs 61-55 in Region 5 Tournament quarter final action.
Trojans 2015 District 10 runners up
The Turtle Lake-Mercer McClusky Trojans were defeated by the Max Cossacks, 49-39, in the District 10 championship game Monday night in Washburn.
Trojans regular season ends, districts begin
The Trojans regular season came to an end this past week with a 58-53 win over the New Salem/Almont Holsteins and losses to Standing Rock 80-69 and Kidder County 60-37.
TL-M-M District 10 runners up
The Trojans placed second in the District 10 Tournament held in Underwood this past week. The Garrison Troopers defeated the Trojans in a hard fought battle, 48-43.
