Winter drops a stormy day for goodbyes

It was a dim and stormy afternoon, with blowing winds and icy roads. But, coffee brewed, punch was poured, and cupcakes settled in for the trip to the tables to provide lunch for the guests. Friendly chatter and sharing of memories marked the services Michael Axt had given to the county as a lifelong resident. Guests included county and courthouse employees
and elected officials: Sarah Crimmins, Alvin Gross, Sylvia Schell, Sandra Felchle, Lynette Fox, Tanya Mueller, Tracy Stein, Shirley Murray, Rod Schilling and Bryon Belile.
Current Sheridan County Commission Chair Sandra Felchle presented Axt with a plaque in recognition of his 12 years of service.
