Entertainment at this year’s Sheridan County Soil Conservation District banquet was met with resounding applause and laughter for the antics of ventriloquist James Wedgwood and his entourage of almost alive wooden dummies. No insult intended.
The dummies, through the talent and skill of Wedgwood, brought out talents that the "volunteers" from the audience didn’t think they had. These included people who sang, kept the beat, offered up tongue twisters, didn’t pay attention, became love objects, or simply looked like "Mr. Clean."
