Wagner won’t rock Union boat

Brad Wagner, who plans to purchase the Union Grill and Bar, is no stranger to the restaurant business. He says he has worked in the restaurant business most of his life.
Wagner, who introduced himself to the Sheridan County commissioners at their April meeting, said he has been searching for a restaurant to buy for about four months,
He had previously co-owned a restaurant and bar in Maddock, ND. Wagner said the business had done very well in the small town, which is similar in size to McClusky.
Wagner said he sold his shares in the Maddock business to his partner because he wants to "be his own boss."
In addition to associate’s degrees in accounting, Wagner said he has experience in all areas of the restaurant business, including cooking, bartending, recording and scheduling.
While a purchase agreement had not yet been signed, Wagner had signed a letter of intent to purchase and made a deposit towards the purchase of the Union. He expects to take over the business on May 15.
Current Union employees don’t need to worry about their jobs. "The current employees are more than welcome to stay on," Wagner said.
