Tim and Dee Schindler named SCSCD winner
Tim and Dee Schindler, McClusky, were chosen as 2008 Soil Conservation Districts Achievement Award Winners. They will be honored at the Sheridan County Soil Conservation Awards Banquet to be held on November 19, and at the North Dakota Association of Soil Conservation Districts Annual Convention held on November 9-11 in Bismarck. This award recognizes farmers and ranchers who have made an outstanding effort to conserve their valuable soil resource. Tim and Dee’s farm is located approximately six miles north and two miles east of McClusky. On their farm, the Schindlers have implemented minimum tillage to improve soil health. Tim has incorporated crops such as; peas, flax, barley, sunflowers, corn, and wheat into their operation.
