Thieves hit McClusky locations

The Sheridan County Sheriff’s office reports that on the morning of January 25, 2012, a burglary was reported at Bentz Supply Store in McClusky. Sometime between the evening of January 24 and the morning of January 25, entry was gained into the building and numerous items were taken.
Also reported the morning of January 25, was the theft of two trailers from the R and H Motel. Both were later recovered in Sheridan County.
On the morning of January 30, 2012, a pickup and trailer were reported stolen from near the Darrell Bertsch residence. The pickup was revered in McLean County.
The investigation is ongoing by the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Department.
R and H Motel Owners Elmer and Odelia Laib reported that the “big red trailer has two bent axles” and has been taken to Bismarck to be repaired. Odelia stated that the trailer had been a favorite for people in the area to use for moving and hauling large items. They had paid $5,000 for the trailer when they purchased it and don’t know the cost of the repairs.
