Students discover engineering is fun

"Family engineering" was the topic for fun at McClusky School’s third family event.
More than fifty parents, children and grandparents discovered that engineering was fun as they sampled the 22 stations set up for them. Each station taught some aspect of engineering. McClusky High School and Elementary School teachers assisted at the stations.
Gary Ketterling, Assistant Professor at Valley City State University, opened the event by explaining that engineers do more than design buildings and bridges.
Engineers are vital in the health care industry, designing prosthetics and new ways to deliver medicine to cells. Engineers ensure we have clean water, safer and more energy efficient buildings, and are at the cutting edge of technology.
