Sparrow wins National Auxiliary Scholarship
The American Legion Auxiliary Department of North Dakota is proud to announce that Sophie Sparrow, a member of James Roberts Unit 124 of McClusky, has won the Junior Member Loyalty Auxiliary Scholarships for 2022. She was one of eight national winners chosen from hundred of submissions. Since joining the James Roberts unit in 2017, Ms. Sparrow has been active with unit activities in support of veterans and area military families. She has also served as a Junior Unit President for several years where she organized and implemented
several youth projects. Ms. Sparrow is the daughter of Kipp and Megan Sparrow of rural Mercer County. She attended Turtle Lake- Mercer High School, graduating as salutation in May 2021.
