Smash again a fun time for participants

The Goodrich September Smash once again outdid its previous year. This year’s event had silent auction items as well as the drop-in-a ticket raffles filling several tables. The Goodrich gym was again filled with good things on Saturday Sept. 25.
The raffles are a favorite, allowing people to drop tickets into their favorite bins or bin, in hopes of being the lucky winner for the prize of their choice. The prizes, all donated from area businesses and individuals, ranged from postage stamps to a car wash to gift certificates at various businesses. There were sure smiles for all winners, some coming from the ticket drawing people who quickly found the owners or placed the items aside for later delivery.
Door prizes and Bingo also had winners, with Karen Konschak again calling numbers for Bingo and Ken (Butch) Konshak drawing door prize winners and announcing raffle winners.
