Reorganization offers best for everyone
By ALLAN TINKER
At the December 14 meeting of the McClusky School Board, Goodrich Superintendent Rod Scherbenske and Misty Galvin, Board President member addressed the possible reorganization of the two schools to form one school for Sheridan County. With many changes ahead, most of them are positive and necessary to continue life in general in Sheridan County. Children in school will benefit from more choices, added staff, and an already welcome to the same system the Goodrich upper class students use. For the taxpayers, their tax dollars will stay in Sheridan County as they do now, with open enrollment still available for those who wish to change to another school. Goodrich will see their school close but open a good building for city use or a private buyer, however the city chooses to act. Organizations could see their business conducted in the spacious and solid building as a community
center, City department office spaces, non-school classrooms for various area needs, and a bus barn ready to help transport children from home.
