Price of Freedom lies buried in cemeteries

The American Legion James Roberts Post 124 held its Memorial Day services on Memorial Day in the McClusky High School gymnasium, starting with the Advance of Colors by
the American Legion Color Guard. Auxiliary Junior Members led the Pledge of Allegiance along American Legion Chaplain Darvin Engel. Those gathered for the celebration then sand the National Anthem and Joan Lasher gave the Invocation. Lindsey Abrahamson recited “In Flanders Fields.” Engel introduced Lt. Col. USAF, DDS Delvin Hansen who spoke on Freedom. Before his speech, he introduced his reasons for his topic. “There is a saying, “You do not treasure what you have until you lose it.” There are many things we fail to realize the true value of until they are missing from our lives, whether it is a personal relationship or our freedoms. The past 18 months have been very revealing when a deemed
health emergency has taken precedence over our lives.
