“How do you celebrate a very special 18th birthday when we have to social distance?” was the question of Megan Jerkovich’s friends. The answer? “We throw an air hug, candy parade.” The group thought it had to be tough, being a senior and having your 18th birthday during a quarantine. “But, we made her day special. Megan was all smiles
as we drove by.” Former bosses at the former Union Café, Vonnie Erdmann and Sherry Korus, along with former McClusky School math teacher from Drake, Larry Clark, wished
her a remote happy birthday as well. Some of her best friends from Turtle Lake and Wilton came, too. It was a beautiful day for a parade!
