A quick drive past the east side of the McClusky City Park area will provide a view of the apartments available for low income residents in the area.

The apartments are being updated and repaired through efforts of Manager Shirley Murray, who has successfully applied for grants to perform the needed repairs.

Lewis and Clark Regional Development Council, (LCRDC), Mandan, ND, awarded Parkview Housing, Inc. up to $97,200 to complete improvements on three apartment buildings in McClusky. The units will receive new vinyl siding, fascia, rain gutters and the two northern-most buildings will get new shingles. The two south apt buildings were not needing shingles; having been shingled in 2003.

Lyle Hogue, LCRDC, informed Shirley Murray, manager of the Parkview Housing units, before the grant hearing in August that there was grant money left over from last year to complete siding, fascia, and rain gutters this year but for one apt building. "That is why only the other three buildings were included in the grant round in August," explained Murray.
